Vegetable garden update! Just in!!

Hello you all!! I have got great and exciting news! My first carrots,radish, garlic, lettuce and hot peppers have just arrived!!!!! Welcome... :)
And more are about to knock at my door: lettuce, french beans, hot peppers, strawberries, carrots, tomatoes, eggplats and more!

Upside Down Tomato planter - Update

Hello again.
And here they are. I have been watering them on alternate days and I have made some progress. I have taken the yellow lid off on four of them to see if I encounter any differences. None so far... but I will keep you posted.
Olá outra vez! Uma nova olhada ao plantio de tomates invertidos lá de casa. Tenho regado dia sim dia não e já temos alguns progressos. Removi a tampa amarela em 4 dos 5 baldes para analisar se tinha algumas diferenças de crescimento, rega, etc... Para já não noto diferenças mas manter-vos-ei informados.

And here is a 2013 update for my 2012 post! Lettuce!! This year I have decided to put my strawberries and lettuce hanging from my orange tree. They will get the apropriate amount of sun and shave and therefore the ideal conditions for it to grow! I´ll let you know soon enough :)

Esta é a actualização da torre em PVC para morangos de 2013 do post que fiz em 2012! Optei por coloca-la debaixo da laranjeira para apanhar a dose certa de sol e sombra. Em breve dou novidades se resultou como imagino que irá resultar!

Optei tambem por colocar tambem alfaces este ano no mesmo sistema! Pouco espaço, rentabilizo a água e não tenho que apanhar ervas danadas que teimam crescer sem parar :)

Raised Bed - Irrigation System homemade

And there we go. Spring is at the door, my salvaged items raised bed´s are up as well as my irrigation system and tomato cages :) So far so good!
Inspired in www.raisedbedgardener.com, and having bought drip valves at Prilux for 0,15€ I was on the move!

Montei, além das gaiolas de tomateiros coração de boi a partir de cana de bambu, um sistema de irrigação doméstico que para já está a dar excelentes resultados! Comprei os gotejadores PGT à Prilux por 0,15€ cada um!!! Espero mesmo que resulte. Em breve dou novidades! Deiam uma olhada:

I have had some difficulties over the past two years growing strawbeery´s in my own garden. Not due to the quality of the plant itself but rather by the place I planted them...

This year... I tried something different. I have heard of hidroponic culture of strawberry but I found it expensive to implement... the solutions involved cost about 25€ and I really didn´t what to spend that much money... so I improvised using soil...
